At least 35 people were killed and 43 others injured when a car drove into a group of people exercising outside a sports center in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, China. The incident occurred on Monday evening, November 11, according to Chinese state broadcaster CCTV.
Local police reported that the driver of the car, a 62-year-old man, has been arrested. Authorities described the incident as a "severe and brutal attack," with the suspect allegedly deliberately running the vehicle into individuals exercising in the area. The attack took place near the Zhuhai Sports Center, a popular spot for local runners and walkers, where personal vehicles are typically prohibited.
