The body of Thomas Juergen Bielefeld, a 58-year-old senior German diplomat, was found in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. The discovery was made on Monday at his residence in the Karakoram Heights within the city's Diplomatic Enclave.
According to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), the late diplomat served as the Second Secretary at the German Embassy in Islamabad. Reports suggest that Bielefeld had previously suffered from heart-related ailments. Following the incident, the German Embassy has initiated contact with Pakistani authorities and launched an investigation into the matter.
Local police confirmed that when the body was found, blood was visible on Bielefeld’s eyes, nose, and mouth. The corpse has since been sent to a nearby hospital for post-mortem examination.
