Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma has put an end to speculations about his retirement from One Day Internationals (ODIs) after leading India to victory in the Champions Trophy. Following the final against New Zealand at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Rohit made it clear in a press conference, stating, "I am not going anywhere, I am not leaving ODIs."

Throughout the tournament, rumors swirled regarding Rohit's future in ODI cricket. The speculation intensified after he announced his retirement from T20 internationals last year, immediately after India’s triumph in the T20 World Cup in Barbados. Many believed that the Champions Trophy victory might prompt him to step away from ODIs as well. However, Rohit himself dismissed these rumors.

During the press conference, he answered questions in both English and Hindi, emphasizing that he still has a lot to contribute. "I have said this before—I still have the hunger and passion to play. So, these rumors are baseless," Rohit asserted confidently.

Having played in four ICC tournament finals for India, Rohit now boasts two major titles—the T20 World Cup and the Champions Trophy. Even after the formal press conference concluded, he proactively addressed the speculation surrounding his ODI future, making it clear that his journey is far from over. The Indian skipper remains focused on achieving more milestones for his team and country.
