The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations for 2025 are scheduled to start on April 10 with the Bangla First Paper. The exams will be held in their full format and duration, as stated in a notification issued by Professor Md. Abul Bashar, Exam Controller of the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board and Convener of the Inter-Education Board Examination Control Committee, on Thursday.
The theoretical examinations will take place daily from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM according to the pre-announced schedule. Practical exams for all subjects are set to begin on May 10 and must be completed by May 18.
Students are required to collect their admit cards from their respective institutions at least three days before the start of the exams. They must arrive at their examination centers and take their assigned seats at least 30 minutes before the exams begin. The tests will be conducted according to the time specified on the question papers.
Each exam will consist of two parts: a multiple-choice section followed immediately by a creative/written section. There will be no break between these two parts. Subjects such as Physical Education, Health Science and Sports, and Career Education will be assessed based on continuous evaluation following guidelines from the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB). Educational institutions must submit the marks from continuous evaluations along with the practical examination scores to the respective exam centers, which will upload the data to the education board's website.
Candidates are allowed to use general scientific calculators during the exams. However, mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside the exam centers except for the center secretary.
The announcement ensures that all measures are in place to conduct the exams smoothly and in an organized manner.
