Model and actress Tanzia Zaman Methila has once again claimed the title of Miss Universe Bangladesh, winning the crown for 2025. The grand finale took place on Thursday night, September 18, at the Aloki Green House in Tejgaon, Dhaka, where she was officially announced as the winner in front of an enthusiastic audience.

At the ceremony, Methila was crowned by National Film Award–winning actress Toma Mirza alongside model and actress Peya Jannatul. The moment was met with loud applause and celebration. Following her victory, Methila expressed heartfelt gratitude, dedicating her achievement to her mother. “Everything I am today is because of my mother. She has always been my strength and my inspiration. This victory is not only mine—it is hers as well,” she said in her immediate reaction.

This is not Methila’s first time winning the crown. Back in 2020, she was crowned Miss Universe Bangladesh, but due to the global COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent restrictions, she could not participate on the international stage. That year’s setback left her fans and supporters disappointed, but now she has another chance to carry the Bangladeshi flag to the global platform.

Methila will represent Bangladesh at the 74th edition of the Miss Universe pageant, which is scheduled to be held in November this year in Bangkok, Thailand. Speaking about the opportunity, she said, “I want to represent Bangladesh with pride. My goal is to uphold the country’s name with dignity, courage, and honor. I hope everyone will keep me in their prayers as I prepare for this journey.”

National Director of Miss Universe Bangladesh, Mustafa Rafiqul Islam Duke, praised Methila’s dedication and social contributions. He noted that Methila is not only recognized as a successful model and actress but also for her advocacy work against child marriage and her involvement in initiatives supporting underprivileged children. “In 2020, she made her mark by winning the crown, but unfortunately she could not compete internationally because of the pandemic. This year, by winning again, she has made history and earned a second chance to bring glory to Bangladesh,” he said.

Methila’s journey reflects resilience and determination, as she balances her career in modeling and acting with her social commitments. Her return to the Miss Universe Bangladesh stage and her second win has reignited excitement among her followers and supporters who see her as a symbol of empowerment.

As the countdown begins to the global pageant in Thailand, all eyes will be on Methila as she prepares to compete on one of the most prestigious stages in the world of beauty and culture. Her win not only highlights her personal achievements but also brings renewed attention to Bangladesh’s presence on the international stage of Miss Universe.
