In a late-night Facebook post on Sunday (16th February), he expressed his determination to protect the integrity of this significant chapter in the nation's history.
In his verified Facebook post, Asif Mahmud stated, "Many are making various statements for political gains, and I have no objection to that. However, distorting the history of the July mass uprising is unacceptable."
He further emphasized, "I will not tolerate any falsehoods about the July uprising, which was achieved through the sacrifices of this generation. While I may remain silent on many issues, I cannot stay silent on this. Stop playing dirty games to manipulate history."
