Four Killed by Train in Patgram While Sitting on Railway Tracks

Four men lost their lives in Patgram, Lalmonirhat, after being struck by a train on Monday evening, November 11. The tragic incident took place near Alaudddin Nagar Station, where the victims were sitting on the railway tracks, engaged in conversation.

The deceased have been identified as Azizur Rahman (65), Mobarak Hossain (55), and Mokbul Hossain (45) from Islam Nagar village, along with Abdul Wahab (42) from Mominpur village, all residents of Joangra Union in Patgram.

According to local sources, the four men were sitting on the tracks near Alaudddin Nagar Station just before evening. The accident occurred when the ‘Karatoya Express,’ en route to Santahar from the Burimari land port, struck the group, killing them instantly.

Al Momin, Sub-Inspector of Lalmonirhat Railway Police, confirmed the deaths and stated that a full investigation will be conducted to determine the exact cause of the incident.
