A private car mysteriously caught fire on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in the early hours of Tuesday, February 18. The incident took place near Gajnaipur, adjacent to Jonotar Bazar in Nabiganj upazila. No casualties have been reported in connection with the event.
According to Sajidur Rahman, in charge of the Nabiganj Fire Service, the emergency response team was alerted through a 999 call at around 7 AM. Upon reaching the scene, they found the vehicle engulfed in flames on the highway. The fire was successfully extinguished using water.
Rahman further stated that the car's gas cylinder remained intact despite the blaze. Additionally, no driver, passengers, or belongings were found inside or around the vehicle, deepening the mystery surrounding the fire.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the incident, as no immediate explanation has been determined.
