The Newspaper Owners' Association of Bangladesh (NOAB) has declared a three-day holiday for newspapers on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. The break will be observed from March 30 to April 1. However, if Eid is celebrated on April 1, the holiday will be extended to April 2, and no newspapers will be published on April 3.
In a notice issued on Wednesday (March 3), signed by NOAB President AK Azad, it was stated that the decision was made by the association's executive committee. The notice clarified that no newspapers will be published from March 31 to April 2. If Eid falls on April 1, the holiday will extend to April 2, and newspapers will resume publication on April 4.
This announcement ensures that newspaper staff can celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with their families while maintaining the traditional break during the festive period.
