In a contest dominated by bowlers, the Multan Test between Pakistan and the West Indies concluded in just two and a half days, with Pakistan emerging victorious by a commanding 127-run margin. Despite low scores from both sides' batting lineups, Pakistan’s bowlers, led by off-spinner Sajid Khan, ensured a memorable win. Sajid claimed a total of nine wickets across two innings, including a five-wicket haul in the decisive final innings.

The first innings saw Pakistan posting a modest 230 runs. In response, the West Indies batting lineup crumbled under pressure, managing only 137 runs. Sajid Khan took 4 wickets for 65 runs, while Nauman Ali dismantled the opposition with 5 wickets for 39 runs, giving Pakistan a 93-run first-innings lead.

However, the pitch at Multan continued to trouble batters as Pakistan’s second innings became another trial by spin. Despite the challenges, skipper Shan Masood contributed a valuable 52 runs to his team’s total of 157. The rest of the lineup struggled against West Indies left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican, who took an exceptional 7 wickets for just 32 runs. This left West Indies with a target of 251 to chase in their final innings.

The West Indies’ pursuit of the target was short-lived, as they were bowled out for 123 runs in just 36.3 overs. Sajid Khan delivered another stellar performance, claiming 5 wickets for 50 runs in the second innings. Leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed provided crucial support, taking 4 wickets for 27 runs, while Nauman Ali added one more to his tally. The West Indies’ resistance was led by Alick Athanaze, who scored a fighting 55 runs, but the rest of the batting order failed to contribute meaningfully.

Sajid Khan’s outstanding performance with the ball earned him the Player of the Match award, capping off a dominant display by Pakistan's bowling unit that secured their well-deserved victory.
