Meeting explores bilateral collaboration opportunities in aviation and future joint ventures between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia

Charge d’Affaires of the Saudi Embassy in Dhaka, Abdul Aziz Fahad M. Alibrahim, paid a courtesy visit to Air Vice Marshal Md. M Mafidur Rahman Bhuiyan, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), on Tuesday, June 3. The meeting took place at the CAAB headquarters.

During the visit, both parties held a productive discussion on strengthening aviation cooperation between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia. They explored mutual areas of interest and considered possibilities for collaborative initiatives in sectors with future potential.

The meeting emphasized the importance of expanding and deepening bilateral relations in civil aviation, including infrastructure development, air transport connectivity, and technical cooperation. The discussions reflected a shared commitment to enhancing the efficiency and scope of operations between the two countries, particularly within the aviation and airport development sectors.

On the same day, the CAAB Chairman inaugurated a newly constructed prayer space located on the ground floor of the CAAB headquarters through the observance of the Zuhr prayer. The inauguration was attended by members of the CAAB board as well as officials and employees from all levels of the organization.

The prayer area was established to facilitate a peaceful and dignified space for CAAB employees to perform their daily prayers. Following the prayer, a special supplication was held at the venue, seeking peace, prosperity, and the continued development of the civil aviation sector in Bangladesh.
