Environmental Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan stated on Wednesday that meeting the proposed 14-day deadline for the July Revolution declaration is not an impossible task. Speaking to journalists after a meeting of the advisory council, she addressed concerns about the timeline and ongoing efforts to achieve a consensus.

"Such declarations are a standard follow-up to any revolution," Rizwana Hasan remarked. "The government has emphasized that the declaration should be made through proper channels. Dialogue with all stakeholders has commenced, and the students involved in the movement also desire collective agreement. Completing this process within 14 days is achievable."

She further noted that discussions surrounding potential reforms are progressing. "The BNP has acknowledged the need for reforms and is submitting written proposals. The extent and focus of these reforms are being debated. While some advocate for fundamental reforms, others prioritize elections. The government is considering all perspectives," she said.

On December 29, the Discrimination-Free Student Movement announced in a press conference that the declaration of the July Revolution would be unveiled on December 31. However, on Monday, Interim Government Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam clarified in an emergency press briefing that the government would oversee the publication of the declaration.

The dialogue process initiated by the government aims to incorporate diverse opinions to ensure that the declaration reflects a unified vision for the country’s future.
