Despite a strong professional and personal bond with Shah Rukh Khan in the past, Abhijeet has not sung for him in years, reportedly due to unresolved professional differences.

In an interview, Abhijeet described his equation with Shah Rukh as akin to a “husband-and-wife” relationship, suggesting closeness yet acknowledging occasional disagreements. He clarified that any issues between them were limited to work and expressed optimism about resolving them in the future. On the other hand, Abhijeet did not hold back in his critique of Salman Khan. The singer refrained from mentioning Salman’s name directly, yet called him a “drunkard” and “uncivilized.” When asked about Salman, Abhijeet dismissed the topic, stating he did not consider himself in a position to discuss the actor.
