Army Chief Honors July Movement Injured, Calls Them Nation's Pride

Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman has declared those injured in the July movement as the nation's esteemed sons and daughters, assuring them of unwavering support. Speaking at an Iftar event organized in their honor at the Army Stadium on Sunday (March 23), he urged the injured not to lose heart and promised comprehensive assistance for their rehabilitation.

The Army Chief highlighted that the military has provided medical treatment to 4,200 injured individuals so far, with ongoing efforts to extend financial aid. He also acknowledged the contributions of businesses and various organizations in supporting the injured.

During the event, General Waker-Uz-Zaman interacted with students injured in the July uprising, inquiring about their well-being. The ceremony concluded with Eid gifts being distributed to the injured on behalf of the army.

The Iftar and dinner were attended by students injured in the July movement, senior army officials, prominent civil society figures, and directors of various government hospitals.
