At the grand finale and award ceremony of the PHP Qur’an-er Alo Protibhar Sondhane competition, held at Sheraton Hotel in Banani this afternoon, Bangladesh’s Religious Affairs Adviser Dr. A F M Khalid Hossain declared Bangladesh a "fertile land of the Qur’an." He emphasized the country’s deep connection with the Holy Qur’an and the importance of spreading its light throughout the nation.
Despite Arabic not being the native language, Bangladeshi children have consistently amazed the world by securing top positions in international Qur’an recitation competitions, often outperforming native Arabic speakers. “When our little boys and girls return home with first, second, or third place from international stages, our hearts swell with pride,” the Adviser said in his keynote speech.
Celebrating 17 Years of Qur’anic Excellence
Highlighting the long-standing efforts of the Qur’an-er Alo Foundation, Dr. Khalid Hossain applauded the initiative for discovering and nurturing Qur’anic talent from every corner of Bangladesh. “For the past 17 years, PHP Qur’an-er Alo has been searching out the hidden gems — the Qur’an-loving children — from villages and towns alike. Their achievements are a testament to the spiritual depth and talent of this country,” he added.
The Adviser also extended heartfelt thanks to PHP Family, Qur’an-er Alo Foundation, and NTV for organizing such a prestigious competition that uplifts young voices devoted to the Qur’an.
