Bangladesh ended the year on a high note, achieving a historic series whitewash against the West Indies in their own backyard. The final T20I in Saint Vincent saw Bangladesh deliver yet another commanding performance, crushing the hosts by 80 runs to complete a 3-0 sweep.

The stage was set by Zakir Hasan, who played a career-best unbeaten knock of 72 runs, propelling Bangladesh to an imposing total of 189 for 7. His innings featured precise shot selection and measured aggression, forming the backbone of the team’s batting effort. Despite losing wickets at intervals, Bangladesh maintained a healthy run rate, thanks to crucial contributions from the middle order.

Defending a challenging target, the Bangladeshi bowlers ensured there was no room for a West Indies resurgence. Taskin Ahmed, Sheikh Mehedi Hasan, and Rishad Hossain spearheaded the attack, dismantling the top order within the first 10 overs. By the time West Indies lost their fifth wicket for just 60 runs, the result was virtually sealed.

Although a brief 35-run partnership between Romario Shepherd and Gudakesh Motie delayed the inevitable, the Caribbean innings eventually collapsed like a house of cards. They were bowled out for a mere 109 runs with 20 balls to spare. Romario Shepherd's 33 off 27 balls was the highest individual score for the home side, but it hardly threatened the visitors’ dominance.

Rishad Hossain was the standout bowler for Bangladesh, claiming three wickets, while Taskin Ahmed and Sheikh Mehedi Hasan bagged two each. Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Hasan Mahmud chipped in with a wicket apiece, ensuring a comprehensive all-round performance.

Zakir Hasan's brilliant innings earned him the Player of the Match award, while Sheikh Mehedi Hasan, who took eight wickets across the three matches, was adjudged Player of the Series for his exceptional bowling displays.

This victory marks the first-ever T20I series whitewash for Bangladesh against the West Indies, adding another milestone to their growing list of achievements in international cricket. For fans back home, who braved the cold morning hours to witness history, the emphatic win was the perfect ending to a memorable year.
