The Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Md. Mokhlesur Rahman, announced that the deadline for submitting asset declarations by government employees has been extended by one month. This decision was made to accommodate employees who have struggled to comprehend the submission process due to its prolonged delay.
Speaking at a press conference at the Secretariat on Sunday, Rahman explained that many employees were unclear about how to submit the declarations, which led to the extension. The new deadline is set for December 31, 2024, and a circular will be issued soon to inform all concerned parties.
Normally, asset declarations are required by December 31 each year, but this year, the Ministry of Public Administration had initially set the deadline for November 30.
