Dhaka, December 29: The Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor, Shafiqul Alam, clarified today that the recently released "Declaration of the July Revolution," spearheaded by the anti-discrimination student movement, is an entirely private initiative with no involvement or endorsement from the interim government. Speaking at a press conference held in front of the Chief Advisor’s official residence, Jamuna, the Press Secretary stressed the non-governmental nature of the initiative.
“This is a private endeavor. We are viewing it as such, and the government has no affiliation with it. Until any official announcement is made, the matter remains unclear to us,” stated Alam.
Addressing questions about the ongoing investigation into the Secretariat fire, the Press Secretary revealed that the preliminary report of the inquiry would be submitted to the Chief Advisor on Monday. He also assured the media of complete transparency in the investigation process, noting that evidence might be sent abroad for further analysis if deemed necessary.
