Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Nasimul Gani, has announced the launch of the "Devil Hunt Operation" to suppress those attempting to destabilize the country.

During a press briefing at the Ministry of Home Affairs conference room today, Nasimul Gani stated that the operation is being carried out by joint forces to ensure law and order across the country. He emphasized that all involved forces will work in a coordinated manner under a well-defined strategy. While it is primarily a police action, all necessary legal measures will be taken with the preparation of multiple security agencies.

The Home Secretary further elaborated that law enforcement officials, magistrates, and prosecutors will collaborate to ensure that law enforcement actions uphold human rights. He stressed that the system should incorporate "good practices" to prevent the recurrence of oppressive measures.

In response to a question from journalists regarding when the police would return to their previous operational state, Nasimul Gani stated that in countries where revolutions have taken place, defeated forces were never retained. He noted that while authorities in the country have not been as harsh, this has led to a decline in police morale. Efforts are now being made to address and improve the situation.

Additionally, Nasimul Gani mentioned that on February 11, a workshop will be held with advisors from several ministries to discuss the application of laws with a focus on human rights and environmental considerations in the current national context.
