Dhaka has emerged as the city with the worst air quality in the world today, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) score of 253 recorded at 9:52 AM on Tuesday, January 14. The air quality is categorized as "very unhealthy," according to the AQI scale.

Following Dhaka, Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam holds the second position for the most polluted air, while Hanoi, another Vietnamese city, ranks third. Delhi, India, occupies the fourth position, and Mumbai is in fifth place.

The AQI is a scale that measures air quality, with scores ranging from 0 to 500. A score between 0 and 50 indicates good air quality, while scores between 51 and 100 are considered moderate or acceptable. A score between 101 and 150 is labeled as unhealthy for sensitive groups, and between 151 and 200, the air is deemed unhealthy. Scores between 201 and 300 reflect very unhealthy air quality, while scores above 300 are considered hazardous.

This alarming situation highlights the ongoing struggle with air pollution in major cities, urging immediate action to address environmental concerns and safeguard public health.
