Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 1,557 cases against traffic rule violators across various areas of the capital. The crackdown, conducted by the DMP Traffic Division, took place on Sunday.
Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed the details on Monday. He stated that during the operation, 189 vehicles were impounded, and 21 others were seized for violating traffic laws.
Rahman emphasized that the DMP Traffic Division will continue its efforts to maintain traffic discipline in Dhaka city. The ongoing campaign aims to ensure road safety and reduce traffic violations in the metropolitan area.
