Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor of the interim government, is set to issue a call for national unity as part of his efforts to address the prevailing political and social challenges in the country. Over the next three days, he will engage in discussions with various groups to promote consensus and collaboration.
On Tuesday, December 3, Dr. Yunus will meet with student leaders to understand their perspectives and foster dialogue on pressing issues affecting the younger generation. The meeting aims to bring fresh insights into the challenges faced by the country and explore potential solutions through youth engagement.
Following this, on Wednesday, December 4, he will hold discussions with leaders of the major political parties. These talks will focus on bridging political divides and fostering a spirit of cooperation among the country’s key stakeholders. The initiative is seen as a crucial step toward mitigating political tensions and promoting stability.
On Thursday, December 5, Dr. Yunus will meet with religious leaders to emphasize the importance of unity across different faith communities. The discussions aim to address concerns related to harmony, tolerance, and collective efforts toward national progress.
The schedule for these meetings was announced during a press briefing held at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka on Tuesday. Shafiqul Alam, the Chief Advisor’s Press Secretary, outlined the plan and emphasized the significance of these discussions in fostering national solidarity.
