Swearing-In Ceremony Scheduled for Sunday Evening

Five new members are set to join the advisory council of the interim government led by Nobel Laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus. Among the five new advisors, four names have been confirmed: Professor Md. Sayedur Rahman, businessman Sheikh Bashir Uddin, film director Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, and Chief Advisor’s Special Assistant Mahfuz Alam.

These individuals have been invited to the swearing-in ceremony, scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 10, at 7:00 p.m.

Professor Md. Sayedur Rahman was appointed Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on August 27 and is now set to transition to an advisory role in the interim government. Sheikh Bashir Uddin serves as the Managing Director of the leading industrial group Akij-Bashir Group.

Renowned filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, known for his decades of work in film and television, is also joining the advisory council. Additionally, former Inspector General of Police Khoda Bakhsh Chowdhury is expected to serve as a Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor, according to a source.
