The government has announced an initiative to draft a declaration reflecting the spirit of the July Uprising under the leadership of the interim administration. Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam shared the development during an emergency press conference organized by the Chief Advisor’s Press Wing on Monday night at 9:15 PM at the State Guest House Jamuna.
Shafiqul Alam stated that the declaration aims to uphold the unity forged through the July Uprising, its anti-fascist spirit, and the public's aspiration for state reform. The declaration will be based on the collective perspectives of all participants, including the student movements that spearheaded the uprising, political parties, and other stakeholders.
He emphasized that the declaration would document the historical context of the uprising, the foundations of national unity, and the aspirations of the people. "We are optimistic that, with everyone's participation, the declaration will be finalized unanimously within a few days and presented to the nation," he added.
