Professor Dr. Asif Nazrul, the legal advisor to the interim government, assured that the administration would remain impartial during the election period. Responding to journalists' questions at the Secretariat on Sunday afternoon, he addressed concerns regarding the role and conduct of the interim government.
He emphasized that the demand for a neutral government raised by the BNP reflects their political stance. “It is a political statement. The interim government maintains no hostility or distance from any political party,” Dr. Nazrul stated.
Discussing the possibility of restructuring the advisory council, Dr. Nazrul dismissed any immediate plans for changes. He noted that the current circumstances do not warrant such measures. However, he acknowledged that adjustments could be considered in the future if the situation demands it.
Dr. Nazrul reiterated the interim government's commitment to maintaining fairness and neutrality, ensuring the election process proceeds transparently and without bias.
