In a statement released by the press wing of the Interim Government's Chief Adviser on Thursday afternoon, the vandalism that took place at the 32 Dhanmondi residence was described as "unforeseen and unwanted." The government acknowledged that the incident was a direct result of the anger generated by provocative comments made by Sheikh Hasina, who is currently in hiding in India. The statement emphasized that the public's deep frustration and anger were manifest in this act of vandalism.

The statement further noted that no such attacks or destructions had occurred at the 32 Dhanmondi residence in the past six months. The incident, which took place last night, was attributed to the inflammatory comments made by Sheikh Hasina regarding the July uprising. The government outlined two key aspects of her remarks that led to the widespread public outrage.

The first part of her speech, according to the statement, involved disrespectful and derogatory comments made about those who sacrificed their lives during the July uprising. Sheikh Hasina's statements on the martyrs' deaths were labeled as irrelevant, absurd, and hateful, thereby showing her disregard and disrespect for the July revolution and those who lost their lives in the struggle.

Secondly, the statement pointed out that Sheikh Hasina, despite fleeing the country in the face of the uprising, continued to speak in a threatening tone, reminiscent of the repressive tactics she employed while in power. She continued to make derogatory remarks against the people involved in the uprising, with an apparent intent to intimidate and threaten the citizens who had taken part in the movement.

The Interim Government also stated that the July massacre has left deep scars on the public, and Sheikh Hasina's repeated provocations are only worsening these wounds. The vandalism at the 32 Dhanmondi house was described as a reaction to her violent and hostile conduct.

In response to the incident, the Interim Government reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the nation's peace and security, assuring that law enforcement agencies are making every effort to restore order. The government emphasized that if Sheikh Hasina refrained from making incendiary statements, such incidents could have been avoided.

The statement also urged the Indian government to ensure that its territory is not used to incite instability in Bangladesh, calling on India to prevent any further opportunities for Sheikh Hasina to deliver provocative speeches. The Interim Government expressed its desire to avoid any future recurrence of such events.

Regarding the July killings, the government assured that the legal proceedings against those involved are progressing and pledged to deliver justice by ensuring the proper punishment for the perpetrators of the massacre. Additionally, the government committed to thoroughly investigating any legal actions that could be taken against those involved in inciting violence and unrest.
