On Thursday, February 6, Professor Mia Golam Parwar, the Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former Member of Parliament, issued a strong condemnation of U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement regarding the occupation of Gaza.
In his statement, Mia Golam Parwar expressed his firm opposition to Trump's declaration, stating, "I strongly condemn and protest against President Donald Trump's declaration to occupy Gaza. His remarks reflect his aggressive mindset. This imperialistic statement has provoked a strong negative reaction among Muslims across the Arab world. His statement goes against international law, and the Arab world has rejected it."
He further emphasized that the only solution to the current conflict is the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state. "The entire Muslim Ummah is deeply distressed and outraged by the aggressive statement made by the U.S. President," he added.
In his statement, Parwar also called on President Trump to immediately withdraw his aggressive remarks and instead recognize the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state. "I urge President Donald Trump to retract these statements and officially recognize the state of Palestine as an independent and sovereign nation," he said.
