A massive fire broke out at a foam factory in the Sagorika area of Chattogram’s Pahartali on Wednesday, November 13. The blaze started around 4:20 p.m. near the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
Five units from the Fire Service worked to bring the fire under control, managing to do so after approximately 50 minutes. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage remain unknown at this time.
Confirming the incident, Kafil Uddin, Mobilizing Officer of the Agrabad Fire Service, stated that three units from the Agrabad Fire Service and two from the Port Fire Service responded to the fire. The fire was finally brought under control by 5:20 p.m., though investigations are ongoing to determine the origin and total losses from the fire.
