Abdul Muktadir, Chairman and Managing Director of Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd., has been elected as the President of the Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industries (BAPI). Dr. Md. Zakir Hossain, Managing Director of Delta Pharma Ltd., has been elected as the Secretary General, and Muhammad Halimuzzaman, Deputy Managing Director and CEO of Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Ltd., has been elected as the Treasurer. The new 20-member executive committee was elected during the association’s annual general meeting held on Saturday.

The newly elected committee includes M. Mosaddek Hossain, Chairman of Unimed Unihold Pharmaceuticals Ltd., as Senior Vice President, and Syed S. Kaiser Kabir, Managing Director and CEO of Renata PLC, as Vice President. Other members of the committee include S.M. Shafiuzzaman, Managing Director of Hudson Pharmaceuticals Ltd.; Md. Harunur Rashid, Chairman and Managing Director of Globe Pharmaceuticals Ltd.; M.A. Haider Hossain, Managing Director of Drug International Ltd.; S.A. Rabbur Reza, CEO of Senevia Pharma PLC; Hasnin Muktadir, Vice Chairman of Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (Vaccine Division); Md. Abdur Razzak, Managing Director of Nipro JMI Pharma Ltd.; Simin Rahman, Managing Director and Group CEO of SKF Pharmaceuticals Ltd.; M. Mahibuzzaman, Chief Operating Officer of ACI Ltd.; Md. Naser Shahriar Zahedi, Chairman of Radiant Pharmaceuticals Ltd.; K.S.M. Mostafizur Rahman, Managing Director of One Pharma Ltd.; Md. Mizanur Rahman, Executive Director of Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (Chemical Division); Fahim Sinha, Director of The ACME Laboratories Ltd.; Ahmed Imtiaz Hasan, Director of Aristopharma Ltd.; Rafidul Haque, Managing Director of General Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (Unit-2); and Arafat Zahid Ibn Shafi, Deputy Managing Director of Minara API Ltd.

The newly elected committee will serve for the next two years, aiming to further strengthen the pharmaceutical industry in Bangladesh.
