The police halted a planned protest march by three wings of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) that was headed towards the Indian High Commission in Dhaka. The march, intended to submit a memorandum, was stopped by police at Rampura Bridge, where barricades were set up to block the route. The demonstration, which began at around 11:30 AM on Sunday from the party's central office in Nayapaltan, was disrupted before it could proceed any further.

Participants in the march, including senior BNP leaders and activists, were seen displaying various slogans on placards, which included messages such as "Delhi Na Dhaka, Dhaka Dhaka," "Stop Indian Aggression, Stand Up People," "One Nation One Country, Bangladesh Bangladesh," "Wasim-Saeed-Mughdha, The War is Not Over," "No Compromise on Sovereignty of Independence," "We Have Friends, Not Masters Abroad," and "Country Above All, My Beloved Bangladesh."

Among those leading the protest were BNP Senior Joint Secretary Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Youth Wing President Abdul Monayem Munna, General Secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayen, Volunteer Wing President SM Zilani, General Secretary Rajib Ahsan, and Nationalist Student Party President Rakibul Islam Rakib, along with General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir, and other party leaders and activists.

The protest was organized to express the party's stance on various national and international issues, with a particular focus on their opposition to India's policies. However, the march was blocked by law enforcement authorities, preventing the submission of the memorandum as planned.
