Hasanat Abdullah, the chief organizer of the National Citizen Party (NCP) for the southern region, stated that the future direction of the country will be determined by its politicians. Abdullah emphasized that the Awami League must first be held accountable for its actions. "As a party, the Awami League must face justice and admit its wrongdoings. Only then can there be any further discussion about them," he asserted.
During the same press conference, NCP Convener Nahid Islam called for visible progress in the investigation and trial of the July killings. "We want to see tangible steps in bringing the perpetrators of the July killings to justice. The legal process must be transparent and visible to the public," she said.
