Actress Rashmika Mandanna, widely known for her role in "Pushpa," has been relying on a wheelchair since sustaining injuries during a gym workout. Despite two weeks having passed since the accident, the actress has yet to regain the ability to stand on her own.
On Sunday, Rashmika shared an update on her health through a video post on her Instagram account. In the caption, she reflected on her current challenges and expressed gratitude for her recent role as Maharani Jijabai in the upcoming film "Chhava." She wrote, "I feel honored, blessed, and grateful to have portrayed the character of Maharani Jijabai. She never showed her pain to the world, so I won’t either."
Acknowledging her inability to stand independently, Rashmika admitted to missing the feeling of standing on her own two feet. "It has been two weeks, and I still can’t stand. I miss the sensation of being able to stand," she shared candidly.
Addressing her fans, Rashmika urged them to take care of their health and not to dismiss such advice lightly. She said, "Please take care of yourselves. When someone tells you to take care, don’t take it lightly. Sending you all love and courage. I have embraced the love and strength you’ve all given me."
In a previous social media post, Rashmika revealed that she had suffered three fractures in her leg and also sustained an injury to a muscle. Despite her current challenges, she remains focused on the promotion of her upcoming film "Chhava," which is set to release on February 14.
The film, produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Laxman Utekar, is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Shivaji. Rashmika plays the role of Sambhaji Maharaj’s wife, while Vicky Kaushal stars as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Akshaye Khanna portrays Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. The cast also includes Ashutosh Rana, Diana Penty, and Divya Dutta.
As Rashmika continues her recovery journey, her dedication to her craft and resilience in the face of adversity have inspired fans and colleagues alike. The actress remains hopeful about her rehabilitation and is determined to regain her strength and mobility.
