Six Unidentified Bodies Found After July Uprising

The Special Cell on the July Uprising announced the discovery of six unidentified bodies linked to the unrest. The information was disclosed during a press conference held on Friday, January 10, in front of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

During the briefing, speakers stated that the cell had been informed about the presence of six unidentified bodies at the Dhaka Medical College forensic morgue. A team from the cell visited Shahbagh Police Station to gather further details. According to Shahbagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge Khalid Mansur, the six bodies are currently preserved at the forensic morgue.

The deceased include five unidentified males, aged 20, 22, 25, 30, and one unidentified female, aged 32. Additionally, one body has been identified as that of a man named Enamul, aged 25.

The Special Cell confirmed that DNA samples and clothing evidence from the bodies have been collected for identification purposes. They have urged families with missing members to come forward and contact them at the provided number, 01621 324187.

The discovery sheds light on the human cost of the July uprising, with efforts now underway to identify the deceased and bring closure to their families. The Special Cell emphasized its commitment to ensuring accountability and urged the public to assist in the identification process.
