Mohammad Nurul Haque Nur, President of the Gonoadhikar Parishad and former Vice President of DUCSU, has criticized recent statements by student leaders, claiming they have misled the nation. Speaking as the chief guest at a prayer and Iftar event organized by the Gonojilla Adhikar Parishad in Chandpur on Sunday afternoon, Nur urged those in leadership positions within the student movement to speak responsibly.
The event, held at Hasan Ali Government High School grounds, honored the martyrs of the July uprising and prayed for the recovery of the injured. Nur emphasized that student leaders should avoid making statements that could benefit conspirators. He also called for avoiding controversy over any national institution or force and appealed to all political parties to unite to maintain the country's stability for at least the next decade.
The Iftar gathering was attended by Gonoadhikar Parishad General Secretary Mohammad Rashed Khan, along with leaders from the BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and the Islamic Movement, among other political parties.
