BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has warned that those who act against the interests of the people will face consequences similar to the events of August 5. He stated that the outcome of working against the public was evident on that day and instructed party leaders and activists to prioritize standing with the people.

Speaking at a BNP workshop in Khulna on Tuesday, January 28, Tarique Rahman emphasized the need for the party to maintain the trust of the populace. He stated that trust in BNP is growing, but those who attempt to damage it will not be spared. Rahman stressed that a political party cannot succeed without the support of the people. He urged everyone to stay connected with the masses and work collectively to address challenges, as no individual alone can solve all problems.

During his speech, Tarique Rahman reiterated BNP’s commitment to political and economic stability in the country. He emphasized that the party would not associate with any leaders or activists involved in unethical or harmful activities, regardless of their rank or status. According to Rahman, the people's growing trust in BNP is a responsibility the party must uphold, and any efforts to undermine this trust will be met with strict action.

Tarique Rahman also highlighted the inclusive nature of the party’s vision, stating that religion should not define identity. He called for unity among all communities, emphasizing that laws in Bangladesh should apply equally to everyone, irrespective of religious beliefs. He described all citizens as part of the Bengali identity, transcending divisions of religion, ethnicity, or caste.

The Acting Chairman urged party members to disseminate BNP’s 31-point agenda across the country. He expressed confidence that if BNP were to come to power in the next elections, these 31 points would be implemented to reflect the aspirations of the people. The agenda, he said, includes initiatives to achieve economic growth, ensure equal rights for all citizens, and foster a prosperous and inclusive Bangladesh.

The workshop featured contributions from various prominent leaders, including former Member of Parliament Habibul Islam Habib, Kazi Alauddin, and Dr. Shahidul Alam. BNP advisors and trainers from Dhaka, such as former secretary Ismail Jabiullah and Central Training Secretary Mosharraf Hossain, were also present. Other participants included training committee member Atikur Rahman Ruman, former MPs Rehana Akhtar Banu, Mahbuba Habiba, Bazlur Rahman Khokon, and Iqbal Hossain Shyamal.

Khulna district BNP leaders, including Convener Syed Iftekhar Ali, Member Secretary Abdul Alim, and various activists from BNP and its affiliated organizations, also attended the event. The workshop served as a platform for emphasizing BNP’s dedication to its political objectives and to mobilizing public support for the party’s vision for a prosperous Bangladesh.
