Bangladesh's fast bowler Taskin Ahmed has earned a place in the prestigious Wisden ODI Team of the Year 2024. The 29-year-old pacer’s remarkable performance throughout the year has secured his spot in the squad, following his impressive displays in the one-day international format.

Taskin's inclusion comes after an outstanding year in which he played a crucial role in Bangladesh's pace attack. In 2023, Bangladesh participated in just nine ODI matches, spread across three series. Taskin played seven of these matches and made a significant impact with the ball. Throughout these games, Taskin claimed 14 wickets at an average of 23.9 and an economy rate of 5.3, making his presence felt on the field. His stellar performance in the World Cup and subsequent series helped solidify his position in Wisden's Team of the Year.
