On Sunday, February 9, a conference was held at the Deulvog Press Club Hallroom in Shreenagar to mark the beginning of this organization. During the event, the names of the executive committee members were announced.

The 21-member committee was formed with Mohammad Nazrul Islam, a representative of the Daily Sangbad newspaper, as president, and MA Kayyum Maizvhandari, the district representative of Capital TV, as general secretary.

Various members shared their thoughts during the event, discussing how the organization will support the welfare of journalists.

Senior Vice President of the association, Tanzil Hasan, the district representative of The Daily Star, mentioned that the Journalist Welfare Association will assist journalists and their families in times of illness, providing medical support.

Vice President Mizanur Rahman Jhilu stated that the doors of the Journalist Welfare Association will always be open for media professionals, and the organization will play a key role in solving any problems faced by genuine journalists.

Vice President Imtiaz Ahmed Babul called for unity among members to advance the organization. All members vowed to remain united for the welfare of journalists.

General Secretary MA Kayyum Maizvhandari emphasized that the association will stand by journalists whenever they face problems while carrying out their professional duties.

President Nazrul Islam added that the Munshiganj Journalist Welfare Association will also assist media professionals who are outside the association and may face issues such as assault or legal troubles.

The conference was attended by Vice Presidents Amirul Islam Noyon, representative of Daily Amar Desh, Abu Naser Khan Limon from Daily Jaijaidin, Sumit Sarker Suman from Daily Desh TV, and Shoukat Hossain from Daily Inquilab. Other notable attendees included Joint General Secretary Arif Hossain Haris, Organizational Secretary Suman Ahmed from Daily Swadesh Protidin, Assistant Organizational Secretary Shahidul Salman Rupok, News Presenter at Rupok TV, Office Secretary Fauzi Hasan Khan Riku from Daily Gon Tathya, Assistant Office Secretary Hamidul Islam Swapan from Daily Bangladesh Samachar, Treasurer Mithu Talukdar from Daily Banglar Barta, Public Relations Secretary Rubel Islam Tahmid from Daily Somoy Bangla, Legal Affairs Secretary Apon Sardar from Daily Khola Kagoj, and members Sheikh Rasel, Najeemul Hassan, Aminul Islam, and others from various newspapers and online media.
