Renowned for both his acting prowess and breathtaking stunts, Hollywood actor Tom Cruise has once again pushed the boundaries of action sequences in his upcoming film, ‘Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.’ The eighth installment of the globally popular franchise is set to release this year, featuring high-octane sequences across land, water, and air. One of the film’s most challenging stunts involved Cruise performing a biplane maneuver, which he described as one of the toughest feats of his career.

In a recent interview with entertainment outlet Deadline, Cruise shared his experience of executing the daring aerial act. The teaser trailer for the movie showcases the actor clinging onto the wing of a vintage 1930s Boeing Stearman biplane while soaring at an altitude of 10,000 feet over South Africa. The high-speed stunt required him to battle fierce winds blowing at approximately 120 miles per hour, making it an immensely demanding task.

Recalling the harrowing moment, Cruise admitted the intense conditions nearly rendered him unconscious. “When you’re holding onto your position at 120 to 130 miles per hour, you start running out of oxygen,” he explained.

To prepare for this extreme sequence, Cruise had to undergo rigorous training to control his breathing. “I had to learn how to regulate my breath under such high speeds. At one point, I physically lost consciousness and couldn’t make it back to the cockpit,” he revealed.

Fans of the franchise are in for yet another adrenaline-pumping ride, as this scene is expected to be one of the most thrilling moments in the film. Given Cruise’s history of executing mind-blowing stunts, audiences have come to anticipate these extraordinary feats.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, ‘Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning’ is scheduled for release on May 23. The film’s trailer also pays homage to the franchise’s legacy, incorporating footage from the first ‘Mission: Impossible’ movie, which was directed by Brian De Palma. As anticipation builds, fans eagerly await the next chapter in Cruise’s exhilarating action-packed saga.
