Two young officers from the Bangladesh Police, ASP Md. Mohayminul Haque and ASP H.M. Golam Rabbi, have successfully completed the "Aviation Basic Course-13." This achievement underscores the growing presence of law enforcement personnel in specialized training programs traditionally dominated by military forces.

The announcement was made on Wednesday through an official press release issued by the Media and Public Relations Division of the Police Headquarters. The Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police, Enamul Haque Sagar, confirmed the development, praising the officers for their dedication and accomplishment.

The certificate distribution ceremony was held earlier in the day at the Army Aviation School, with Chief of Army Staff General Wakar-Uz-Zaman attending as the chief guest. General Zaman awarded certificates and presented the flying brevet to the newly qualified aviation officers, symbolizing their readiness to take on advanced roles in aviation operations.

The event was attended by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam, along with senior officials from both the military and civil administration. Their presence highlighted the collaborative efforts between various branches of Bangladesh’s defense and law enforcement agencies.

The Aviation Basic Course-13 was conducted under the supervision of the Army Aviation Group and managed by the Aviation School. The course brought together 24 officers from various branches of the nation’s defense and law enforcement sectors. This cohort included 18 officers from the Bangladesh Army, four from the Navy, and two from the Police.

The rigorous training program aimed to equip participants with foundational knowledge and practical skills in aviation. The course covered technical subjects such as aerodynamics, flight mechanics, navigation, and safety protocols. Participants also underwent extensive hands-on training to familiarize themselves with aircraft operations and prepare for real-world scenarios.

The successful completion of the course by the two police officers marks a significant milestone for the Bangladesh Police, demonstrating their commitment to expanding their expertise into diverse fields. The training will enable them to contribute effectively to future aviation-related operations, whether in disaster response, surveillance, or other specialized missions.

The event also underscored the importance of inter-agency collaboration. By including officers from the police force in aviation training, the program promotes synergy between different sectors of national security. This initiative reflects a broader strategy to enhance the operational capabilities of Bangladesh’s security forces through shared knowledge and resources.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Zaman emphasized the critical role of aviation in modern defense and security operations. He noted that the inclusion of police officers in such training programs is a step toward creating a more integrated approach to national security. The IGP, Baharul Alam, echoed these sentiments, expressing his pride in the officers’ achievements and reiterating the importance of continuous learning and professional development.

The course has a history of producing skilled aviation personnel who go on to serve in various capacities within their respective organizations. With the successful graduation of its 13th batch, the program continues to solidify its reputation as a premier training ground for aviation professionals in Bangladesh.

For the two police officers, this achievement is not only a personal milestone but also a testament to the evolving role of law enforcement in Bangladesh. It highlights the potential for police personnel to diversify their skills and take on responsibilities beyond traditional law enforcement duties.

The ceremony concluded with words of encouragement from senior officials, who urged the graduates to apply their newfound knowledge and skills in service to the nation. The success of ASP Md. Mohayminul Haque and ASP H.M. Golam Rabbi serves as an inspiration for other police officers and underscores the importance of embracing opportunities for professional growth.

As they return to their respective duties, the two officers carry with them the pride of their achievements and the responsibility to uphold the standards set by the prestigious Aviation Basic Course. Their success exemplifies the progressive vision of the Bangladesh Police in adapting to the changing demands of modern security and defense.
