Piál Hasan, 30, Killed in Broad Daylight Following Previous Conflict
A 30-year-old man named Piál Hasan was hacked to death by assailants at a school in Jhikargacha, Jessore, on Saturday (November 9). The incident occurred at around 1:30 PM at the veranda of the Jhikargacha Pilot Girls' High School in the Mubarakpur area.
Piál, a resident of Mubarakpur and son of Kitab Ali, was reportedly involved in a prior conflict with unknown individuals. According to local sources, the assailants first created panic by detonating a bomb near the Jhikargacha Railway Station platform on the Khulna-Benapol railway road. They then chased Piál and dragged him inside the school, where he was attacked with sharp weapons and killed in the schoolyard.
After the attack, locals rushed Piál to the Upazila Health Complex, but doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jhikargacha Police Station, Bablu Rahman Khan, confirmed the incident, stating that Piál was murdered due to a longstanding enmity. His body has been sent for autopsy at Jessore General Hospital, and police are preparing to file a case.
