According to Iran’s Mehr News Agency, the incident occurred on Monday and involved shelling at the American installation. Following the attack, security measures were significantly increased at the base, especially at its main entrance.
The northeastern region of Syria hosts several U.S. military bases where Kurdish forces are also active. These facilities have frequently come under assault from Iran-backed groups operating in the area.
