Party does not support mob culture and insists on legal process and rule of law
BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed stated that the party will take disciplinary action if any of its members are found to be involved in the mob incident targeting former Chief Election Commissioner K.M. Nurul Huda. He made the remarks on Monday, asserting BNP’s firm stance against mob culture.
He emphasized that the BNP does not believe in mob justice and is committed to the establishment of the rule of law. The party strives for a justice system where transparency is ensured and court verdicts are respected.
Salahuddin added that the legal procedures surrounding Nurul Huda’s arrest and trial should be conducted appropriately. However, the party does not support the humiliating behavior directed at him and views it as an isolated incident. If investigations reveal the involvement of any BNP activists, disciplinary measures will be taken accordingly.
