A devastating head-on collision between a bus and a pickup truck claimed four lives early Tuesday morning in Madhupur, Tangail. The accident occurred around 5 a.m. in front of the Malauri Government Primary School on the Tangail-Mymensingh highway.
Although the identities of the deceased have yet to be confirmed, initial reports suggest that the pickup driver and his assistant are among the victims. Responding promptly to the incident, police recovered the bodies from the scene.
Madhupur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Emranul Kabir confirmed the fatalities, describing the tragic incident as a stark reminder of road safety concerns. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the collision.
