Jewel Aich and Rozina to Receive Lifetime Achievement Awards at Star Bangladesh Award 2025

Veteran magician Jewel Aich and iconic actress Rozina will be honored alongside 30 distinguished professionals from various fields in a star-studded ceremony on June 28.


Renowned magician, Ekushey Padak awardee, and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Jewel Aich, along with celebrated Bangladeshi actress Rozina, are set to receive Lifetime Achievement Awards at the prestigious “Star Bangladesh Award 2025.” The ceremony is jointly organized by Star Bangladesh Media and the Bangladesh Mofossol Journalists Society.

The award gala will be held on Saturday, June 28, at the Central Kochi-Kachar Mela Auditorium in Segunbagicha, Dhaka. This event aims to honor distinguished individuals from various sectors for their contributions to society and their respective professions.

Apart from the Lifetime Achievement Awards, special honors will also be presented to GTV’s Chief Editor Iqbal Karim Nishan and prominent dance choreographer Ivan Shahriar Sohag, acknowledging their excellence and influence in journalism and performing arts, respectively.

According to Khondokar Asifur Rahman, President of Star Bangladesh Media and the Bangladesh Mofossol Journalists Society, all preparations for the grand event have been finalized. The program will recognize excellence across multiple sectors, including journalism, medicine, law, film and television, music, dance, modeling, business, entrepreneurship, and fashion. In total, 30 distinguished personalities will be awarded in various categories.

Hazrat Ali Hiru, General Secretary of Star Bangladesh Media, emphasized that two individuals will receive Lifetime Achievement Awards, while two others will be presented with special recognition awards during the ceremony.

The event will also feature a vibrant cultural program with performances by some of the country’s leading dancers and musicians, making it an evening of both celebration and entertainment.

Several well-known personalities from the entertainment industry have already been nominated for this year’s honors. Among them are:

  • Joy Chowdhury, Organizing Secretary of the Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association

  • Popular film actors Abdun Noor Sajal, Mamnun Emon, and Prarthana Fardin Dighi

  • Actresses Humaira Subah, Raj Ripa, Rukaiya Jahan Chamak, and actor Syed Shuvro

  • Dance artists Mim Chowdhury and Nikki Ahmed

  • Singers Luipa, Akib Bin Akhtar, and Atia Anisha

  • Brand promoter Barisha Haque and model Syed Ruma

  • TV host Sravanya Touhida

  • Stylist and choreographer Gautam Saha, and fashion director Adolf Khan

  • News24 Channel’s crime reporter Masuda Labony, and senior photojournalist Kajal Hazra

The Star Bangladesh Award has become a significant platform for recognizing the outstanding contributions of individuals across the nation, particularly those who have impacted both urban and rural communities.
