Israeli PM Claims Strike on Tehran Radar Array in Response to Ceasefire Breach; Iran Denies Fresh Attacks
Witnesses reported hearing an explosion near the northern Iranian city of Babolsar, according to the Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA). The report indicates that Iran’s air defense systems were activated in the area, and ambulances were seen rushing toward the site.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office released a statement claiming Israel struck a “radar array” near Tehran in response to what it called a violation of the ceasefire by Iran. The statement alleged that Iran launched one missile at 7:06 AM and two more at 10:25 AM local Israeli time following the ceasefire agreement.
Netanyahu’s office added that after a phone call with former U.S. President Donald Trump, Israel initially held back from launching further attacks. During the conversation, Trump reportedly praised Israel, stating it had achieved “all war objectives” and expressed confidence in the stability of the ceasefire.
Tehran has denied launching any new attacks after the ceasefire came into effect.
