Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has strongly condemned Israel's horrific attacks on Gaza, expressing deep outrage and sorrow over the ongoing violence. In a post on his verified Facebook account on Wednesday morning, Dr. Rahman denounced Israel's actions, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, calling them a violation of all humanitarian norms and laws.
Dr. Rahman stated, "Israel continues its genocide in Gaza, disregarding all rules, laws, and basic humanity, even during this sacred month of Ramadan." He appealed to Allah for protection and assistance for the people of Gaza and Palestine, saying, "O Allah, in Your infinite mercy, protect and help the people of Gaza and Palestine, and defeat the oppressors. Grant us the strength to fulfill our responsibilities. Ameen."
The recent escalation saw Israel breaking the ceasefire and launching widespread attacks across Gaza on Tuesday. The strikes targeted central areas, including Khan Younis, Rafah in the south, Gaza City, and Deir al-Balah in the north. The attacks have resulted in the deaths of over 400 people, with at least 562 others injured.
Dr. Rahman's statement reflects growing global concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and calls for immediate international intervention to stop the violence and protect innocent lives.
