Mohammad Shahjahan, Vice Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and former Member of Parliament for Noakhali-4, has returned to Bangladesh after completing his medical treatment in Bangkok.
On Monday (March 17) at 6 PM, Shahjahan arrived back in the country after spending one month and 24 days at Bangkok International Hospital. His eldest son, Abu Saleh Mohammad Sabuj, confirmed the news, stating that his father had been undergoing treatment for heart valve replacement, lung infection, prostate, kidney, and gastrointestinal issues.
Shahjahan was admitted to the hospital on January 21 under the care of a team of eight doctors led by Dr. Bithun Pitigugol. After receiving intensive care, including heart valve replacement surgery, he was discharged on March 3.
Abu Saleh Mohammad Sabuj added that his father is now partially recovered but may need up to three more months to regain full health. He expressed gratitude to party members, religious leaders, and well-wishers from all walks of life for their prayers and support. Shahjahan is currently staying at his residence in Dhaka as he continues his recovery.
The family also extended their thanks to everyone, regardless of political affiliation, and praised Allah for His blessings in Shahjahan’s healing process.
