Bangladeshi model Sifat Nusrat has made her mark in the international showbiz world, transitioning from a well-known bridal model in her home country to gaining global opportunities. Having built a reputation as a bridal model in Bangladesh, Nusrat is now experiencing a busy schedule with various product modeling assignments and other collaborations internationally.
Sifat Nusrat shares, "I spent three years as a bridal model in Bangladesh, gaining significant recognition, and worked consistently. As a result, I was invited to various bridal workshops across the country. It was at one such workshop in Faridpur, where makeup artist Aklima Begum took me as her model, that I encountered Anjana Roy, the head of Karma International. It was there that my career took a lucky turn. Anjana invited me to Kolkata to model at a workshop."
Discussing her collaborations with international brands, Nusrat adds, "When I attended the Karma International workshop in Kolkata, many brand owners were present. After seeing my work, they directly spoke to Anjana Roy, who then introduced me to several key figures. My first collaboration was with Aflaiza and Ricod. After the release of the work, Karma reached out again, followed by Forever Fifty Two, who wanted to sign me as a brand ambassador. They brought me to Kolkata, and that’s how I began working with them."
When asked about the differences between working nationally and internationally, Nusrat explains, "The experience is very different. As a Bangladeshi model working internationally, they didn’t treat me any differently. They understood the respect an artist deserves, which makes us want to continue working. I genuinely want to work with them."
Regarding her contract with Karma, Nusrat reveals, "After working with three international brands, Karma signed me for a three-year contract. They observed my dedication and seriousness about my career. When they saw that top brands were eager to work with me, and I was able to shoot abroad, they trusted me even more. Karma doesn’t sign models based on just one project, but on long-term potential."
Sifat Nusrat also expresses her aspirations beyond modeling, saying, "I could easily label myself as a film actress, but I want to see myself as an actress who is taken seriously. I believe that while I may fade away over time, I want my work to remain in people's hearts. To master acting, I need to take more time and work on refining myself."
With a growing international career and an ambition to expand her horizons, Sifat Nusrat is paving the way for a promising future in the global entertainment industry.
