In a significant development, Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) has withdrawn the temporary suspension orders against 37 of its students. This decision was made during the 102nd emergency meeting of the university’s Syndicate, held on Wednesday, April 23. The meeting was presided over by KUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Masud.
Following the meeting, the university issued an official notice signed by KUET Registrar Md. Anisur Rahman Bhuiyan, confirming the decision. As per the notice, the earlier disciplinary action taken against the students has been suspended, and the university’s residential halls will reopen accordingly.
Previously, during the 101st emergency Syndicate meeting held on April 14, it was decided that the academic activities at KUET would resume from May 4, while residential halls would reopen on May 2. However, in light of the latest Syndicate decision, the reopening of the university’s dormitories has been brought forward and is scheduled for the afternoon of April 23.
The university administration’s revised stance signals an effort to restore normalcy on campus and resume educational operations without further delay.
