At least 10 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli drone strike on a village in the occupied West Bank. Several others sustained injuries in the attack.

On Thursday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health issued a statement confirming that the bombing took place on Wednesday in the town of Tammun, located in the Tubas district of the northern West Bank. Initially, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported seven casualties, but the death toll later rose to ten.

The airstrike in Tammun is the latest escalation in Israel’s intensified crackdown on Palestinians in the occupied territories. According to local residents, the attack targeted a densely populated area, striking a residential building. The Palestinian Ministry of Health has warned that the number of casualties could rise further.

The Israeli military justified the air raid, claiming it was part of an "anti-terrorism operation" based on intelligence gathered by the Israeli Security Agency (ISA). Meanwhile, Hamas strongly condemned the attack, calling it an example of the "fascist occupation's escalating crimes" in the West Bank. The group stated that targeting Palestinian resistance fighters is part of Israel’s ongoing policy of repression, aimed at undermining Palestinian resilience and struggle.

This incident is part of a broader Israeli military campaign in the northern West Bank, particularly targeting the cities of Jenin and Tulkarm, as well as their surrounding refugee camps. Since a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas took effect in Gaza on January 19, Israeli forces have killed at least 20 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. Many others have been injured or forcibly displaced due to the ongoing Israeli military offensives.
